Drill-Down Sliding Panel Mobile Menu for Multi-Level Navigation

Dear XStore Team,

I would like to request a significant enhancement to the mobile navigation system, particularly for websites that utilize multi-level menu structures.

Current Challenge:
The current mobile menu becomes cluttered and less intuitive when dealing with categories that contain multiple levels of dropdown submenus. This results in a poor user experience, especially on eCommerce sites with complex category trees.

Suggested Improvement:
Introduce a drill-down sliding panel menu functionality for mobile devices—similar to the approach used in the Woodmart theme. In this implementation:

Tapping a parent menu item opens a new sliding panel that shows its subcategories.

A “Back” button allows the user to return to the previous level.

The transitions between levels are smooth and intuitive, making it easy for users to explore deep menu hierarchies without being overwhelmed.

Benefits:

Greatly improves user experience and usability on mobile.

Keeps the interface clean and focused at every menu level.

Particularly useful for eCommerce stores with deep navigation structures.

Optional Enhancements:

Ability to customize icons for "back" and submenu indicators.

Support for both tap-to-open and full click-to-navigate behaviour settings.

Compatibility with Elementor's Nav Menu widget or custom menus used in headers.

This feature would be a valuable addition to XStore and help set it apart by offering advanced navigation UX for mobile-first users.

Thank you for your consideration!

Best regards,
Amit
