WooCommerce Additional Variation Images plugin integration

Would be great to have better (any :)) integration with WooCommerce Additional Variation Images plugin. Default XSTORE “variation gallery” functionality is great but there is no option to use when products are imported automatically e.g. via WP All Import plugin. For more popular plugins like Woo Additional Variation Images there are solution/integration ready and available. Therefore I suggest to make a functionality where XSTORE would be able to just use data from Woo Additional Variation Images for standard “variation gallery”. By doing so everyone would be able to use standard import functionality and make a benefit of great XSTORE carousel, lightbox and customization options.

Sorry for delay in answering but I have good news for you guys !
This was implemented in one of our previous updates -> XStore version 8.3.8/ Core plugin 4.3.8.
Additionally it is important to add that recently we released new version of XStore theme and XStore Core plugin that include many more new features, fixes and developers filters/hooks.

Sorry for the delay in answering !
As I wrote you below - we need to see if request is popular among others not just for 1-2 users because it takes some time to implement such feature and it is not good practice to give a task for our developer just for 2 users while we can add features that are voted by 10-15 users in our roadmap.
Once we will move your request to next steps you will be notified by email.

I am member of German WooCommerce community on Facebook and I know that many many users would like to switch to XSTORE as you have an excellent Theme (especially after speed update) but they still waiting for an proper solution how to manage variation images. We had this discussion very often in this Facebook group chat and I can definitely confirm, that if they would have a voice (as potential customers) - you would get 30-40 (at least) votes for that feature. :-) if you need any further information let me know. 100% agree - to be honest - we had to customize this part by our own. Installed Woo Commerce Variation Plugin so we can use different variation image and not only one. So either XStore Theme support WP ALL IMPORT plugin and can show more than one variation image per variation or you support WooCommerce Variation Plugin. But right now, so good as you theme is, this is a big issue! :)... especially for bigger and more complex store.

@schlee have you managed to make Woo Commerce Variation Plugin fully working with Xstore ? i mean to use all fancy lightboxes, product page builder customizations from xstore etc together with this plugin ? in my case I had to choose .. standard woo comemrce product page gallery or plugin :(

Yes, we are..... but we improving it ongoing. Right now we changing from Thumbnails at the bottom to the side like it is possible at XStore. Also what I didn't like at Woo Commerce Variation Plugin that it list up all thumbnails in a row if you have many image. We have set now a slider in Jquery. It is more about customizing the Woo Commerce Variation Plugin than XStore. So my assumption would be, that it would be easier when XStore would integrate this feature in to the theme! :)

i agree .. .the best solution would be WP ALL IMPORT with default xstore variation Images :) ... @8theme please please put this into the roadmap :)

Due to your message I can understand that you need to have import functionality for our Variation Gallery as Woo Additional Variation Images plugins has ?
Let's wait for some more voices of users to see how usefull will it be ok ?

In short yes .. some sort of import capabilities would be lovely to have. In my case, we are using WP All Import plugin for all imports which seems to be one of the widely used import/export plugin. In WPAI there is included full compatibility with WooCommerce Additional Variation Images (by default) which becomes available when this plugin is installed. In a config this is super simple as this is just one checkbox “Import additional variation images.” that’s it ;-)
So I’m looking for some similar functionality (and simplicity) available also for default XSTORE mechanism. It could be done either by additional option in XSTORE to choose: a) use XSTORE native mechanism or b) simply use “WooCommerce Additional Variation Images” data and deal as xstore’s own data = display nice carousels, customisation capabilities etc. ... optionally it could be a plugin to WPAI ;-)

100% Agree - this is for more complex webshops very important. My developer are suprised that XStore does not support this function at all....
